Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 30, 2026

FileViewerHub is a privacy-first online file viewer. Our tools allow users to open supported file formats directly inside the browser.

This Cookie Policy explains how FileViewerHub handles cookies, local browser storage, and similar technologies.

Our main privacy principle is simple: your files are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers for viewing.

1. We Do Not Use Cookies

FileViewerHub does not currently use cookies on its website.

This means we do not use cookies for:

  • Advertising
  • Retargeting
  • User profiling
  • Cross-site tracking
  • Storing opened file contents
  • Tracking personal file activity

We do not use cookies to collect, store, or analyze the contents of files opened with FileViewerHub.

2. No Tracking or Advertising Cookies

FileViewerHub does not use advertising cookies, marketing cookies, or third-party tracking cookies to build user profiles or target visitors with personalized ads.

Your activity inside the file viewer is not used for advertising or retargeting.

3. Local Browser Processing

When you open a file with FileViewerHub, the file is processed locally inside your browser.

This means:

  • Your file contents are not uploaded to our servers for viewing
  • We do not store your email files, contact files, database files, or attachments
  • We do not use cookies to collect or save file data
  • Your files remain on your own device during processing

This applies to all supported viewer tools across FileViewerHub.

4. Local Storage

FileViewerHub may use local browser storage only for simple website functionality or interface preferences, such as remembering a light mode or dark mode selection.

Local storage is different from cookies. It stays inside your browser on your own device unless you clear it.

Local storage is not used to:

  • Store opened file contents
  • Store email messages
  • Store contact details
  • Store SQLite database records
  • Store attachments
  • Track users across websites

5. No File Content Tracking

FileViewerHub does not use cookies or browser storage to track:

  • EML email contents
  • MSG email contents
  • MBOX mailbox archives
  • VCF contact details
  • SQLite database records
  • HEIC image/photo data
  • CSV and TSV spreadsheet records
  • File attachments
  • Personal file data opened in the browser

Our viewer tools are built around client-side processing to help protect user privacy.

6. Website Security and Infrastructure

FileViewerHub may be hosted on modern cloud infrastructure, such as Vercel or similar providers. These systems may process standard technical logs for security, performance, and abuse prevention.

These technical logs may include basic request information such as:

  • Request time
  • Requested page URL
  • Browser or device type
  • IP address
  • User agent

These logs do not include the contents of files opened with FileViewerHub.

7. Managing Browser Data

Because FileViewerHub does not currently use cookies, there may be no FileViewerHub cookies to remove.

However, you can still manage browser data through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • Clear cookies and site data
  • Clear local storage
  • Clear cached files
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Manage site permissions

Please note that clearing local storage may reset simple interface preferences, such as light mode or dark mode.

8. Future Cookie Use

If FileViewerHub adds cookies in the future, this page will be updated to explain:

  • What cookies are used
  • Why they are used
  • Whether they are essential or optional
  • How users can manage or disable them

FileViewerHub will continue to avoid using cookies to collect or store the contents of files opened in the viewer.

9. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in website functionality, technology, or legal requirements.

Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
